i had my car serviced the other day and i have noticed the oil temp seems to drop a bit every now and then while driving along! sat in traffic it seems ok but the other day i noticed it dropped right down. any ideas? cold weather maybe making it run cooler? i never noticed this problem till i got it serviced

Check for coolant leaks around the thermostat housing (to the right of the engine block as you look at it). Engine temperature is read from a sensor in the top of the thermostat housing, so any issues around that area can impact it. Mine has been doing the same sort of thing recently (I really should do something about that leak...)

ok will have a look. i have not noticed any leaks.. its been ok the last day or too the temp has dropped a bit while driving but nothing major, the pressure and engine temps are ok.
